ScamLens provides tools designed to help users identify potential scams, phishing attempts, fraudulent communications, suspicious links, and other digital security risks. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, disclose, retain, and protect information when you use the ScamLens mobile application, website, and related services.
1. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you use ScamLens.

If you use Google or Apple to sign in, we receive information made available by that authentication provider. Depending on your choices and the provider, this may include your name, email address, profile image, and a provider-specific account identifier.
If you use Sign in with Apple and choose Hide My Email, Apple may provide us with a private relay email address instead of your personal email address.
We do not receive your Google or Apple account password.
2. Content You Submit for Analysis
ScamLens allows you to submit content for security and scam analysis. Depending on the features you use, this may include:
• Messages or text
• URLs and website addresses

• Files
• QR-code content
• Other content you intentionally submit to ScamLens
We process this content only as necessary to provide the requested analysis and related functionality. You should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive information and should only submit content you have the right to provide for analysis.
3. How Submitted Content Is Analyzed
When you request a scan, ScamLens may process submitted content using automated systems, security services, threat-intelligence services, and artificial intelligence technologies.
Analysis may include:
• Extracting text from screenshots or documents
• Detecting suspicious URLs
• Evaluating domain or link characteristics
• Identifying phishing patterns

• Identifying urgency or social-engineering techniques
• Detecting requests for passwords, payment, or financial information
• Comparing content with known security indicators
• Generating explanations of detected risks
• Producing a risk assessment or classification
ScamLens may classify submitted content as Safe, Suspicious, or High Risk. These classifications are informational assessments and are not guarantees that content is safe or malicious.
4. Artificial Intelligence Processing
ScamLens may use artificial intelligence models operated by us or by third-party AI service providers to perform requested analyses.
When third-party AI processing is required, portions of the content you submit may be transmitted to those providers. We seek to limit information sent to third-party providers to information reasonably necessary to perform the requested analysis.
Where required by applicable platform rules or law, ScamLens will provide an appropriate disclosure and obtain permission before transmitting personal data to a third-party AI service.
5. Scan Information
When you perform a scan, we may generate and store information such as:
• Scan type, date, and time
• Risk classification and score
• Detected warning signs and security indicators
• Analysis explanations
• Scan identifiers
• File type or basic file metadata
• Processing and error information
This information may be associated with your account when scan-history functionality is enabled.
6. Device and Technical Information
We may automatically receive limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve ScamLens. This may include device type, operating-system version, app version, language, network information, crash information, diagnostic data, and IP address.
We use this information for application functionality, security, abuse prevention, debugging, and performance improvement.
7. Camera, Photos, and Files
ScamLens may request access to your camera, photo library, or files when you choose features requiring such access.
Camera access may be used to scan QR codes or capture content you intentionally choose to analyze. Photo-library access may be used when you choose a screenshot or image for analysis. File access may be used when you choose a document for analysis.
ScamLens does not use these permissions to continuously monitor your photos, camera, or files.
8. Clipboard
ScamLens may allow you to paste messages, URLs, or other content from your device clipboard. Clipboard content is processed when you intentionally paste or submit it to ScamLens. ScamLens does not continuously monitor your clipboard.
9. Notifications
If you enable notifications, ScamLens may collect and process a push-notification token associated with your device. Notifications may be used to inform you that an analysis is complete, for security-related notices, account notices, subscription information, or important service updates.
You can disable notifications through your device settings.
10. Subscription and Purchase Information
ScamLens may offer paid subscriptions through Apple App Store and Google Play. Payments are processed by the applicable app-store provider. ScamLens does not receive your complete payment-card information.
We may use RevenueCat to help manage subscriptions and purchase entitlements. RevenueCat may process identifiers and purchase information necessary to provide subscription-management functionality.
